Baxi UK part of pioneering ‘Hydrogen Home’ project

Our Baxi Heating business in the UK is proud to be part of the ‘Hydrogen Home’ project, run by the UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), and major gas distributors Northern Gas Networks and Cadent Gas Limited. 

The project lets BDR Thermea Group showcase how appliances can be run on 100% hydrogen – in a safe and efficient way, with zero carbon emissions.

The ‘Hydrogen Home’ houses have specially been built for the project. They will be open to the public for the next three years, so people can see for themselves how boilers, cookers, hobs and fires – even barbeques – can work on 100% hydrogen in a real-life setting.
