BDR Thermea Group acquires Hitecsa

Apeldoorn, 15 September 2021 – BDR Thermea Group, global provider of smart thermal comfort solutions, is acquiring 100% of Hiplus Aire Acondicionado, S.L., operating under the brand name Hitecsa. Hitecsa is an important company in the design, manufacture and supply of commercial and industrial climate systems in Spain.

The Barcelona-based manufacturer, with more than 160 employees, is an important brand in the fast-growing heat pump sector, specialising in complete air-to-air and air-to-water solutions for commercial and industrial customers. The acquisition, from the Spanish private-equity investment fund, Phi Industrial, is expected to be finalized this year, still being subject to approval from the antitrust authorities.

Hitecsa will become part of Baxi Spain & Portugal, a company of BDR Thermea Group. Adding Hitecsa to BDR Thermea’s Spanish and Portuguese portfolio helps to better serve its customers in the fast-growing heat pump market by extending its reach into the commercial sector.
